To my surprise

I was still unturned

To my dismay

I was still on the same path

I turned the corner,

Hoping against hope

Of strolling a new path

Of starting a journey afresh

Of leaving the miseries of the past

Tired

Tired walking the same street

I turn the corner

Only to find myself

Circling the same circle

I try to get to get it straight

But can’t

That it all ends from where you start
